Liz Celotto

Photographer

Liz Celotto, long interested in alternative photographic processes, combines the use of a centuries old device with current digital technology. Using a digital camera to capture images from a camera obscura allows her to produce photos with a unique effect.

She has often viewed photography as a tool for artistic expression, going beyond its inherent capability of capturing a particular moment in time.

To her, photography is another tool, like painting, collage and sculpture, that enables her to order her vision of balance, color, texture and emotion.

Celotto has an undergraduate degree from Skidmore College and a MFA in Photography from Brooklyn College. She has been a production manager in photography and video studios and is currently a video editor.
