Abby Griffiths
Sculptor and Painter
Abbie Griffiths is a British-born, figurative sculptor and painter. Abbie received her BA in International Development Studies and African History from University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies, and a certificate in Painting and Sculpture from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. She lived and worked in Nairobi, Kenya where she had her first solo exhibition “Perceptions”, before moving to the United States in 2011. Abbie is passionate about finding new ways to engage her community creatively; she has five years of experience directing creative arts programs for people with dementia, has served on the board of Ellen Frank Illuminated Arts Foundation for the Cities of Peace initiative, and is a Co-Founder of the New Haven critique initiative, Crit Haven.
